Suspended Heat center Thomas Bryant gets Nuggets championship ring, then leaves arena

Miami Heat center Thomas Bryant won an NBA championship last season as part of the Denver Nuggets and didn't have an opportunity to receive his championship ring until Thursday night.
Bryant had a chance to be acknowledged by the home crowd at Ball Arena and his former teammates and received a video tribute and then a hug from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
Under usual circumstances, Bryant wouldn't even be allowed in the arena because he was serving a three-game suspension stemming from his involvement in a brawl with the New Orleans Pelicans last week.
But the NBA made an exception for Bryant because it is Miami's only trip to Denver.
"It's just a way of thanking him for all his contributions," Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. "Great to see Thomas -- haven't seen him obviously since we won it all last June."

As soon as Bryant, who is averaging 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds this season for Miami, received his ring, he left the arena.
